Weekly Updates Safety Cone

El Camino Real Z-Crossing Construction

Landscaping is currently taking place in the center median area. The pedestrian crossing will remain open during this work. Staff is also monitoring the signal timing at the Z-Crossing and making adjustments where needed.

Speed Feedback Sign Installation at Val Sereno

City staff has installed temporary speed feedback signs at Val Sereno. The signs will remain in place for three months as a traffic calming measure and also serve as a data collection tool to measure speed and volume which will help us to better understand traffic patterns within this segment.

Left Turn Signal Improvement Project

The contractor expects to install the new signal poles and mast arms at the Quail Gardens Dr/Leucadia Blvd and Vulcan Ave/Encinitas Blvd intersections starting the night of April 25th. Working hours are 9pm to 6am. Lane closures will be in effect and the traffic signals at these locations will be placed in flashing red. Traffic may be paused for a few minutes at a time as the poles are raised and installed onto their foundations.
