Become an Encinitas V.I.P. - Volunteer In Purpose

Encinitas Volunteers In Purpose (VIP) is an opportunity to share your passion and talents while making connections for a cause. Volunteers of all ages learn and grow while supporting the community, city projects, and goals.

The benefits are endless and include developing new relationships, learning new skills, and improving health and wellness. The city offers a variety of V.I.P. opportunities to include programs for Adults 50 plus, Events, Cultural Arts, Green Initiatives, Parks, Trails, and more.

Cultural ArtsArt Night and concert greeters, shuttle hosts, information table, and setup and clean-up. Art Nights are Sept. 9 and Nov. 18.

Senior Nutrition Program: Help to greet guests, plate food, serve meals, and assist with light kitchen clean-up. Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older, have at least one day per week availability. Volunteer shifts are Monday-Friday, 10:30am - 12pm for greeter/check and 11:15am – 12:45pm for servers.

Special Events: State of the City, movies in the park, concerts and more. Volunteers support staff during events to oversee everything from setup to clean-up, crafts, information booth to parking lot support. Shifts will vary depending on the event.

Stewards of the Beach, Parks & Trails: Outdoor enthusiasts are asked to download and explore using the city’s OuterSpatial app and support clean space and share social recommendations on how to be a positive steward of Encinitas' natural environment.

Volunteers under the age of 18 may volunteer with adult supervision.  For more information, email volunteer@encinitasca.gov.
