Encinitas Holiday Parade

First Saturday of December
South Coast Highway 101

Nearly 100 parade entries will roll, march, cycle, scoot and cruise down the Coast Highway on the most magical night of the year. At this truly special community celebration of the holiday season, thousands of people will be on floats and in bands with tens of thousands more cheering them on Encinitas Holiday Parade rolls along Coast Highway 101 on the first Saturday in December. The parade begins at 5:30 PM. It is preceded by a 5:00 PM tree lighting ceremony with a brief appearance by Santa at the Lumberyard Shops courtyard. Sponsorship opportunities are available.

South Coast Highway 101

Explore Downtown Encinitas via bike, on foot or other means of self-powered transportation, free of cars! Grab your friends and family, bring the bikes and enjoy downtown Encinitas at a different pace. Make a point to visit and support Encinitas' many amazing restaurants, retailers and businesses all along Highway 101.

Spring Egg Hunt

Saturday before Easter Sunday
Encinitas Community Park

There's nothing like the excitement of hundreds of kids charging when the Easter bunny says GO! Our Spring Egg Hunt is a cherished Encinitas tradition for over 20 years. The event features egg hunts separated on two fields for children under 4 and for ages 5 and up. Adding to the fun are live shows from kid favorite live performers Hulabaloo. The Egg Hunt is held at the beautiful Encinitas Community Park, the perfect place to pack a picnic and make a day of it. Sponsorship provides an excellent opportunity to engage with young families in person.

Sunday Summer Concerts

Normally held on four Sundays in July and August
Moonlight Beach

Toes in the sand--what better way to enjoy a summer concert? Moonlight Beach is the place to be all summer, and twice a month in July and August, the City's Cultural Arts Division brings great performers to the stage. Musical styles vary and may include everything from Latin jazz and  country western to reggae and '80s rock. Bands play on a state of the art professional stage in front of a large sandy beach, with plenty of room to move with the music. Sponsorship opportunities are available.

Movie in the Park

Spring and Fall movie night showings
Location: Glen Park

Movie night is a perfect time to spend with your family and friends enjoying a blockbuster family-friendly film under the stars. Be sure to bring your blankets and low-backed chairs. Bring food and drinks to enjoy a picnic in the park, but please no glass containers. Sponsorship opportunities are available.

Cardiff Dog Days of Summer

Held in partnership with Cardiff 101 Main Street
Normally held third Saturday in July
Encinitas Community Park

Featuring over 100 dog-related vendors, rescue groups, pet adoption agencies, and a carefully curated “Maker’s Market Row”. Activities include dog contests, live music, kids activities, beer & wine garden and food trucks. Also take advantage of free and low-cost pet services provided by the City's animal services provider, San Diego Humane Society.

Dia De Los Muertos

Normally held at the end of October
Encinitas Library

The annual free family-friendly celebration attracts Encinitas residents and visitors to enjoy mariachi and ballet folklorico performances and participate in artmaking workshops at the Encinitas Library. The cultural celebration also includes a community ofrenda to leave mementos and notes to loved one who have passed. Presented by the City's Cultural Arts Division.
