Working together to combat crime and promote growth in our community.

What is Safe Encinitas?

"Safe Encinitas" is a forward-thinking public safety initiative in Encinitas, California, aimed at enhancing collaboration between the community, businesses, and the Sheriff's Department. This program centers on integrating residents' and businesses' security camera feeds with the San Diego County Sheriff's Department, providing a more efficient way to combat crime and contribute to community growth. The project's core lies in leveraging existing security infrastructure within the community to bolster public safety measures.

How do I Participate?

The initiative offers two participation levels: Registered users and Exclusive users. Registered users can register their existing security cameras to aid law enforcement, and Exclusive users can provide direct camera feed access to the Sheriff's Department. Classroom

By participating in Safe Encinitas, we can all play a role in public safety and help make the City of Encinitas a safer place to live, work, and visit.

The San Diego County Sheriff's Department is bringing the pilot platform to the community’s attention in a phased approach: starting in its conceptual phase (soliciting community feedback), to the development stage, and ultimately, it’s launch phase.
