The City of Encinitas is proud to provide room rentals at competitive rates for Encinitas residents and non-residents alike.  Located in the Encinitas Community Center and Encinitas Library, the City has a variety of rental spaces to cater to your needs.  Our aim is to optimize public use of our facilities in an effort to enrich our community with educational, cultural, social, and diverse recreational opportunities.

Large Room Rentals

Large room rentals consist of the Library Community Room;  Community Center Banquet Hall and Gymnasium. Room sizes vary from 4,000 to 8,000 Sq. Ft. and can host 170 to 400 people. Mid-Size Room Rentals

Mid-size room rentals consist of rooms 118-Activity Room, 120-Meeting Room, and the Community Center Dance & Exercise Room. Generally, these rooms can hold from 30-60 people and have open floor plans that vary between 760 Sq. Ft. to 1020 Sq. Ft. Most often, these rooms are used for activities like HOA meetings, instructional classes, religious gatherings, support groups, and training courses. Click here for room details.

Small Room Rentals

Small room rentals consist of the Community Center’s room 116-Conference Room, 140-Arts & Crafts Room, 136-Eucalyptus Room, and our Library’s Information Literacy Lab. The maximum capacity of these rooms ranges from 15 to 35 people. These smaller rooms ranging from 315 to 522 Sq. Ft. are primarily used for interviews, small gatherings, intimate classes, and one-on-one instruction.  Click here for room details.

Rental Policy

Rental applications must be turned in (14) days in advance for the Encinitas Library Community Room, Small, and Mid-size Rooms, and (40) calendar days in advance for the Gym/Stage and Banquet Hall. Applications should be submitted by mail, e-mail or in-person to Encinitas Community and Senior Center, 1140 Oakcrest Park Drive or Encinitas Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department, 505 S. Vulcan Avenue. Please refer to the permit application for more details regarding insurance, deposits, and scheduling.
