ABOUT THE PROJECT The Lake Drive Storm Drain Project encompasses replacement of 2,000 feet of corrugated metal pipe from Lake Drive to Interstate 5. It was originally constructed by the County in 1982 and is in need of replacement due to its deteriorated condition and numerous sinkholes that have developed. The surrounding property and trails are owned and maintained by The Nature Collective. Eroded sediment was removed from San Elijo Lagoon under emergency permit in 2020/2021.
